Jane Ward's Toffee:

Ingredients:
1 sleeve of saltine crackers (yes, saltine crackers)
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
12 oz. pkg. of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (I prefer pecans, but live it up...try something different!)

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line cookie sheet with foil and spray with Pam cooking spray.
Cover foil with saltine crackers (neatly!)
Bring sugar and butter to a boil and boil for 3 minutes (not a second longer).
Spread the hot mixture over the crackers and bake until bubbly (about 5 minutes).
Remove from oven and spread evenly with chocolate chips and nuts.
Cool in refrigerator an hour or so.
Break into pieces and devour! You may also serve these to your friends, but make sure you get the first half!
