Summary of Delta Delta Delta's History
Delta Delta Delta was founded at Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts on Thanksgiving Eve in 1888 by Sarah Ida Shaw, Eleanor Dorcas Pond, Isabel Morgan Breed, and Florence Isabelle Stewart. By its first birthday, there were three chapters in three states. In 1891, Delta Delta Delta and six other women's fraternities participated in the first Panhellenic Meeting. The Executive Office is located in Arlington, Texas and supports the growing number of collegiate and alumnae chapters.

The San Jose, CA Tri Delta Alumnae Chapter was organized in March 1948, with Agnes Lewis as the first president.
