The San Jose alumanae chapter welcomes all TriDeltas to join as members!
Alumane members are essential to TriDelta's strength as fraternity. Joining the San Jose TriDelta Alumnae Chapter supports local sisters and contributes to the ongoing growth of Delta Delta Delta nationally.
Membership provides access to the full spectrum of chapter activities and a network of supportive sisters. Chapter membership is flexible and is designed to fit a busy lifestyle. You can participate in every activity or come as your schedule allows. Our activities include:
-
Monthly formal meetings (including a short business meeting before an activity or program) occur the second Tuesday of every month. We meet from September through June every year, taking July and August off.
-
Our book club meets on the 4th Saturday morning of every month. If you are interested in joining the book club as well, please contact Christi to be added to the evite list.
- A regularly meeting dining out group is in the works, as well.
-
On top of all our more formal events, all of our members are encouraged to send out email to the chapter to do things as a group: items that we call "Delta Doings." Those can be everything from a breakfast or lunch meeting, a happy hour, painting ceramic together, seeing a movie, etc. Each year, our Delta Doings Chair coordinates these activities, but anyone can schedule one.
- A few times a year, we partner up for events at the Omega Chapter at Stanford University with Omega and the Palo Alto Alumnae Chapter. For example, the San Jose and Palo Alto Alumnae Chapters provide a brunch for the sisters after initiation.
-
In 2011 , we will be having a Bay Area Founders' Day celebration on Saturday, October 29. Jackye Brown Clark, our national president, will be the keynote speaker.
To become a member, simply maintain annual chapter dues ($40 or $21 for Life Loyal). However, for new members, there is a new member discount of 50%. So, for your first year of membership, dues are $20 (free for Life Loyal members).
That's it, there are no other requirements. The membership dues cycle is based on the national Tri Delta fiscal calendar, currently August 1st through July 31st. No matter what time of year you decide to join, there are numerous ways to get involved.
If you have questions about membership, please contact us. |
